As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you'll draw on customer facing skills and technical acumen to help customers successfully adopt Google Cloud products. Your previous experience with cloud infrastructure, program management, enterprise technology implementation, strategy development, and customer advocacy will play a critical part in your day to day work driving success at our customers. You'll lead the successful adoption of Google Cloud at organizations, guiding them through the strategic and technical facets of their Cloud transformation journey. You will manage the delivery of Professional Services engagements to drive customer adoption of Google Cloud services, including Google Compute Engine, Google Cloud Machine Learning, Google Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Google Workspace, Google Chrome, and more. You'll utilize your relationship management skills and technical credibility to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. You will travel domestically 25% of the time. Responsibilities Accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud by leading the implementation journey. Provide technical guidance, conduct architecture reviews and manage timelines, milestones, migration goals and business transformation strategies to enable teams to embrace Google Cloud technologies. Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers, drive new feature development, and lead across multiple work streams and teams to maintain customer momentum. Develop relationships with key stakeholders (C Suite, Senior IT) to develop strategic roadmaps. Lead quarterly business reviews and executive sessions to uncover technical needs. Plan for customer events and launches, partnering with Support, Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to ensure customer success. Work with customers and Support to guide issues and escalations to resolution. Develop best practices and assets that help accelerate cloud adoption and support initiatives to scale through partners. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting enterprise customers in cloud operations, technical support, escalation management, or IT consulting. Customer facing experience, interfacing with executive stakeholders, driving technical implementation or transformation programs. Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master's degree in a management, technical or engineering field. Experience in application workload migration to public cloud providers like Google Cloud Platform. Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators and third party developers to deliver high impact solutions. Experience collaborating across business units internally and at large enterprises. Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, service architecture, cloud native application development, hosted services, storage systems, and content delivery networks, launch and capacity planning, or product release management. Excellent written communication, presentation, problem solving and management skills, translating business requirements into technological solutions.
