Position Summary

The Marketing Automation Specialist will play a key role in assisting with automation for marketing acquisition and retention communications and activities to our members, partners, prospects and internally.


Subject matter expert to assist with all global emails, email automation campaigns, and newsletter campaigns, with a strong focus on execution.

Help to strategize, plan, schedule, collaborate and execute online campaigns to drive internal, member and corporate marketing efforts which includes; email automation, targeted emails, newsletters, landing page development, content creation and managing review cycles with stakeholders.

Provide guidance and assist in development of marketing automation paths, emails and landing pages, including strategy and planning, layout, editing of content, and minor copywriting.

Manage global email schedule while maintaining email frequency policies, independently address and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Manage external email service provider and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise with little to no supervision.

Execute QA and end-to-end testing for all campaigns. Ensure communications are vetted, approved, and tested in different email clients and web browsers.

Collaborate with Marketing to optimize campaign performance through testing and segmentation.

Manage and identify target prospect data lists from multiple databases for email and automation campaigns.

Strong Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Excel skills for list development and cleaning

Help to develop and maintain current processes for email best practices and new marketing automation tools when introduced.

Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and GDPR.

Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience managing and deploying emails, creating, running and maintaining multiple email automation campaigns, through an email service provider or marketing automation platform

Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required

Understanding of CAN-SPAM and GDPR required

Intermediate HTML/CSS and image editing skills preferred (Photoshop/Illustrator)

Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in MS Office/O365, with a strong focus on Excel

Salesforce experience a plus

SiteCore experience a plus

Multiple marketing & email automation platforms experience a plus

Social media platform experience a plus

Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

Physical & Mental:

Up to 10% travel

Work extended hours, when necessary

Will use dual monitor computer screens

Sitting for extended periods
