Job Description:

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines. As a member of DCEHS Construction team, you will be responsible for leading and managing Commissioning EHS aspects across the fleet and supporting construction EHS programs and project teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring all EHS issues are identified and addressed by working collaboratively with a cross functional team of GDC departments and contractors to protect Google’s interests. Responsibilities Support regional design safety reviews and take ownership of assigned sites. Monitor and ensure Google's legal obligations are met at all stages of construction. Work with regional EHS Operations teams to gain efficiencies in overall construction EHS program implementation. Be responsible for identifying and mitigating environmental and safety risks at construction sites, as well as the transition from design to construction to operational activities. Manage various project aspects associated with new site development, expansion, and upgrades. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer or related discipline. Experience working on EHS programs in construction or general industry Experience with data center and mission critical design concepts as well as the construction process. Experience with regional and local electrical safety standards and approved codes of practice and regulatory requirements. Preferred qualifications: Strong technical and working knowledge of mechanical & electrical plants and services supporting mission critical Data Center environments (e.g., MV & LV Distribution Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Schemes, Standby Generators, UPS, Chillers, ancillary mechanical cooling systems plant, system Automation & Monitoring). Familiarity with ANSI NETA testing. Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and controls schematics and diagrams. Ability to work with the Data Center Engineering Teams and Quality teams, for the purposes of developing test scripts and protocols to ensure validation of the design intent. Fundamental understanding of the project management process and basic construction contract structures.
