Overview

We are currently searching for qualified candidates to join our manager research team as an Analyst, Manager Research in our Overland Park office.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of the overall Investment Management Group function, improving methods and tools utilized

Perform sourcing, researching, monitoring, and making recommendations on investment strategies

Provide reports from Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar, Zephyr, FIRM and other analytical tools

Develop and generate monthly/quarterly reporting packages as required

Communicate with investment managers to evaluate investment philosophy, process, personnel and performance

Extract and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to help drive decision making

Create and maintain detailed due diligence reports and document ongoing monitoring of investment managers

Use Zephyr, Morningstar Direct, and other analysis tools to assist in investment strategy due diligence

Participate in creation of agenda and preparation of materials for investment committee meetings

Develop and present research findings to investment committee, advisors and others as needed

Attend and present at some client investment reviews as needed

Ad hoc tasks, special projects and other duties as required

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in business-related field required

Progress toward or completion of the CFA preferred

Progress toward or completion of MBA and/or other relevant professional qualifications a plus

Investment or retirement plan-related experience in a professional office environment a plus

Skills and Knowledge

Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Effective oral and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Ability to multi-task, manage workload, and complete projects on time

Occasional travel required (<20%)
