Overview

The Wealth Strategist works with our Ultra High Net Worth advisory team, working with our wealthiest and most complex clients. The Wealth Strategist is responsible for providing expert estate planning advice and support in the administration of complex estate planning for ultra-high net worth clients. Support senior Wealth Strategists and outside counsel to develop and oversee tax efficient wealth planning strategies for clients.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the ultra-high net worth team and work closely with the senior wealth strategists on client relationships on the duties listed below.

Provide advisory support services to clients on estate tax planning, wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning, trust tax planning and assist in the preparation of estate documents.

Participate in internal strategy discussions for clients, collaborate with advisor teams and planning departments to address service objectives.

Collaborate with the ultra-high net worth advisory team to ensure clients goals/objectives are being met as pertains to the estate planning or charitable needs; provide advice and assistance with all aspects of trust administration.

Coordinate with the ultra-high net worth advisory team to illustrate estate planning concepts with clients.

Collaborate with the team members on estate planning recommendations that require outside coordination.

Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures as it relates to estate planning compliance.

Qualifications

JD Required

4 years legal experience administering revocable and irrevocable trusts

Experience with ultra-high net worth individuals and families

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of revocable trusts, wills, POAs, health care directives, and all other documents related to foundational estate planning.

Ability to review, and administer irrevocable trusts (GRATs, IDGTs, CRTs, SLATs, ILITs, etc.) and knowledge of general concepts of gift/sale transactions.

Knowledge of the gift and estate tax rules; experience with 709s and 706s.
